After a weekend off for the Presidents’ Day holiday, basketball kicked back into high gear for the boys, as tournament time began. The Spurs played their first game on Saturday afternoon, winning a thriller by three points.
They played their second game on Sunday afternoon against the second-seeded team in what was once again a close contest. Unfortunately the Spurs were on the wrong end of a 3-point deficit. Fortunately, it’s a double-elimination tournament so the boys have at least one more game left in them. They face off this coming Saturday at 8:10 a.m. (yawn) and then play again later that morning if they win. They could potentially have three games on Saturday, and more on Sunday if they keep winning!
