More important than the soccer games on Saturday was Kate’s First Communion. She looked lovely in her white dress and veil, and the jewelry she received from gifts from Ted & I as well as from my parents. Kate bravely partook of the wine but rather than taking a small sip, she drank deeply from the chalice! Perhaps that’s why she fell asleep in mid-sentence while eating her ice cream later that evening!

State Cup
Monday, April 21st, 2008Ben’s team played in the state cup tournament on Saturday, on a gorgeous day. The field was a fairly new turf field and it still had tons of those little black pellets. You can see the spray in a couple of pictures. Maybe I should be concerned given the news about lead in artificial turf fields. Nah – there’s a soccer game to play!
