The kids had their second swim meet on Saturday, this time against a very strong club. They had very very fast 11-12 year old boys, as well as a lot of fast older kids so unfortunately the Hurricanes fell. But both Ben and Kate nevertheless had a fun meet, and both improved on their times. The highlight for Ben — being part of the 15-18 medley relay team. He sure looked small compared to everyone else swimming!

Nice photo, glad your kids are enjoying swim team! I”m a big proponent, too..and my youngest was also convinced to join years ago by her friend (not me). I just wrote a swim team post, too. Enjoy the summer.
Thanks for the comment! I just visited your blog and I see where our common interests lie. Thank goodness our swim meets are much shorter than 6 hours (about half that time)! Our club is small and therefore only swims against small clubs. It’s hard to imagine the dedication required to sit through a 6 hour meet.
