The Titans won 1-0 on Sunday, guaranteeing a move up to the next higher division next season. It was a nail-biter of a game, obviously, made even more so by the fact that the other team was a very good possession team. Unfortunately, they had some trouble finishing. The Titans know all about that problem from last season!
Sunday’s game for the girls was not so close. It started out that way, but then the other team just took over. Unfortunately, our girls are not very aggressive and often get beaten on 50-50 balls because of that. Perhaps they should scrimmage some boys — Ben’s team regularly scrimmages against older age girls for that very reason. The girls’ coach believes that it helps the girls become more aggressive, and the boys’ coach thinks that it helps the boys deal with bigger opponents (though I’m sure after the boys finish puberty this will no longer hold true).

Kate’s team came *this* close to pulling off a win on Saturday. It came down to a PK in the final few seconds of the game, which unfortunately our player missed. Poor thing was so nervous that she actually burst into tears after the game. Thankfully after just a few minutes, she was once again all smiles.
