Friday, November 28th, 2008The Titans closed out the season last weekend with a tournament. Lucky us, we got the 8 am game both days, and since we had to be at the fields at 7:15 for warm-up, and the tournament site was an hour away, we got to leave at the chipper hour of 6:15.
The weather was the real treat, however, with temperatures below freezing both days at game time. I think the temperature at kick-off on Sunday was 26 degrees. It was so cold at one point I got an error 99 on my camera, and the focus ring on my lens was a little hard to turn.
Soccer is on hiatus for Ben until January, when he starts outdoor practice again and also has indoor games. Kate still has practice once a week (optional, but we’ll make most of them) and futsal starts next week for her.

Golf Banquet
Tuesday, November 11th, 2008It’s not just soccer that’s wrapping up. The golf season officially ended in October and both kids got their trophies at a golf banquet. Rather than handing out individual trophies for each event, our club simply gives each child one trophy and engraves their accomplishments on the front. Much better because otherwise we’d stagger out with four or five trophies for each child!
