It’s another 4-day weekend here and lots of families take advantage of it to take a quick trip out of town.  Ben’s opponent this weekend had only 3 players so they had to forfeit.  The boys still managed a scrimmage though, with the other team scrounging up some players from kids who were just hanging out at the gym.

I’m just now posting pictures from Kate’s basketball games the last two weeks.  I’m not really sure what has been keeping me busy other than a full-time job, two kids, a husband, a dinner party, and other assorted social commitments.  Luckily I’ve had some time this weekend since Monday was Martin Luther King day and today was Inauguration Day.

Despite a house full of kids (Ben had a friend over to work on a school project and Kate had 2 friends over for a playdate) I managed to watch the inauguration ceremony and get through Kate’s basketball pictures.  Hopefully things will be back to normal tomorrow and my commute downtown will be uneventful!

Come from Behind

We missed an exciting game while we were in Mexico, in which the boys apparently came from a 20-point deficit to come back with a 35-28 overtime win.  But we made up for it with today’s game, which was another come from behind victory.  I used my 50 mm 1.8 lens for this game since I found that the 85 was a little bit too long when trying to shoot layups.  But the 50 was too short in other circumstances.  Maybe I’m just going to have to scooch myself further into a corner or something.
