That’s what they write in hospital charts when a patient doesn’t follow doctor’s instructions, right? Ben played two quarters in today’s game, despite doctor’s orders not to engage in physical activity until Monday. According to Ben, the doctor said he could play once he could jump up and down on the injured leg 20 times without pain, and he demonstrated that he could do it 40 times, so therefore he should be able to play. I remembered the instructions as waiting until Monday to start jumping up and down but since he’d been driving me crazy since Friday I relented. I warned them that if he ended up unable to play sports for a longer time I would tolerate no pity parties. Supposedly he is feeling fine, probably helped along by the fact that the Rockets won once again. The boys have a week off this coming weekend, and then one more regular season game before the excitement of the tournament starts.
