Sledding

The kids took advantage of the deserted street to go sledding.  They normally use our backyard but we had a number of tree limbs fall right in their sledding path.  So why not use the street?  Nobody was getting out today anyway.  We even saw a snowplow stuck at the bottom of the hill!

Here’s Ben:

Kate didn’t quite get the hang of it at first, but soon figured out she had to get a running start. The hill behind our house is much steeper so normally she just pushes off and gravity takes care of the rest.

We lost power for a few hours but luckily it came back at 8:00 at night. Good thing since we’re supposed to have people over tomorrow for the Super Bowl.

I guess “us” Californians have no idea what a real snowstorm is like, huh? We do know earthquakes!
